Representatives of the NGO “Diia in Ukraine” took part in a joint prayer with the staff of the State Institution “Scientific and Practical Center of Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine,” together with His Beatitude Epiphanius, Metropolitan of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.

The prayer was dedicated to supporting Ukrainian servicemen in need of complex treatment and medical care. During this event, a highly significant moment took place: a complex heart transplantation surgery was being performed on a Ukrainian soldier at the medical center.

During the prayer, the newly transplanted heart began to beat for the first time in the chest of a soldier who had previously been held in Russian captivity and returned to Ukraine in a critical condition. For many present, this moment became symbolic and deeply emotional — a combination of medical professionalism, human support, and spiritual strength.

This event served as another reminder of the importance of unity between medical professionals, society, and the spiritual community in the struggle for the lives of Ukrainian defenders.
